Getting Sensitive

Paranormal Georgia Investigations is proud to count three sensitives as part of our membership. Our three sensitives are able to sense paranormal activity in three different ways. Whereas one sensitive can see the spirit, what they look like, what they are doing, etc., another sensitive can feel the spirit’s emotions, while still another receives impressions from the structure itself. Even though the abilities of the three are strikingly different, they work in concert with each other and with any evidence we collect.

During the initial walk-through of the location, one or more of the Paranormal Georgia sensitives will go through the location, taking notes on any impressions they receive. They do this with no prior knowledge of the location. After the walk-through, the sensitive investigators will share their independent notes with one another to verify what they felt or saw. If any of their impressions match, and particularly when their impressions match client experiences, then we know which areas of the house to target with cameras and electronic voice phenomena (EVP) sessions.

During the investigation, the Paranormal Georgia team will focus on the areas of the house or business that are active for the client. We will also utilize our sensitives, meaning if the kitchen is an active location, but our sensitive feels at that moment that the living room is where the spirit(s) have moved, then the investigation will go ahead and move on to the living room to conduct an EVP session.

Finally, when we present out report to the client, we only include our sensitives’ impressions if they happen to match any evidence that was found. If the sensitive feels there is a female spirit in the attic, and we capture a female voice in the attic, then we let the client in on what the sensitive experienced. We have found that if you report to the client that the sensitive feels there is a female spirit and yet you find only unexplainable male voices on your audio recording and you tell the client about both, then the client will only take away the sensitive’s findings and ignore the tangible EVP evidence.

We highly recommend to all groups that if you are able to recruit sensitives to join your group, to do so. We feel that our sensitives have enriched our paranormal experiences and findings with all of our investigations.

About Heather S. Dobson

I wish I was Wonder Woman, but I'm actually a wife, mother of three young ones, a writer, a paranormal investigator, and a lunatic. I'm also hoping to win a Nobel Prize in physics, but I guess that means I should get something above a BS in said subject and do more in-depth, life-changing studies besides "the sticking power of mac 'n cheese on smooth wallpaper." Alas...

I know my home is haunted but due to the fact that things have quietened for now my husband does not want an investigation, what can I do to find out who is in my house and why?

    • Finding out that information can be a bit difficult. I would say that, right now, if you’re home is quiet, enjoy the stillness and silence. Whatever is in your home may be at peace with your presence and that of your family. You could do some research on who owned your property previous to you and speak to previous owners to find out if they had any paranormal experiences. Also, spirits can be attached to objects, so if you have any antiques in the home, researching their origins could be helpful. Until your spirit becomes active again, that’s about your only option. If it ever does become active, make sure everyone in your family is comfortable with having an investigation. We’ve performed investigations when one spouse doesn’t want us to be there and believe me, it’s very uncomfortable for everyone involved. Good luck and I hope you find some answers!
